Trainee Nurse Robbed: Verulam CBD – KZN
A trainee nurse from the University of the Free State in Bloemfontein on a visit to Verulam – KZN was robbed a short while ago (14:00 Monday).
The twenty (20) year old female arrived at Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) seeking assistance after she was robbed on Wick Street in the Verulam CBD in KZN (pictured).
The victim informed Reaction Officers that while shopping in a clothing store with her six (6) month old baby, an unknown woman befriended her. The woman then followed her outside and during a conversation, requested that they share a cooldrink. The woman took possession of grey/white baby bag while the victim walked off to purchase the cooldrink. She had decided not to leave the baby boy with the unknown woman.
Upon her return, the woman had disappeared with the bag containing R745, a blue Iphone XR, wallet & baby products. The victim was left without cash and a hungry baby after the childs milk bottle was also stolen.
The suspect is an african female, approx. forty (40) years old & was wearing traditional beads on her hand.
