Man Fatally Injured While Directing Truck: Phoenix – KZN
A 46-year-old man was fatally injured after being struck by a taxi while assisting with directing a truck in Phoenix – KZN this morning (Wednesday).
Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) responded following reports of a pedestrian motor vehicle collision at approximately 05:42. Upon arrival, Reaction Officers found the injured man lying in a prone position on the roadway.
Information gathered on scene indicates that the individual had been standing in the roadway assisting with directing a truck when he was run over by a white Toyota Quantum mini bus.
Paramedics from the Provincial ambulance service arrived shortly thereafter and assessed the male who was pronounced deceased at the scene.
