Gate motor thief caught in the act
At approximately 10:30 on 04 March 2026, Proshield received a call from community members reporting a theft in progress at Market Street, where a suspect was stealing a gate motor.
Proshield immediately dispatched response units to the area. Upon arrival, the suspect attempted to flee the scene but was apprehended on Plaas Street through the combined efforts of vigilant community members and Proshield Response Unit A2. The suspect was successfully detained and was handed over to the South African Police Service (SAPS) for further investigation and processing.
Proshield would like to extend its sincere appreciation to the community for their vigilance and commitment to making the area safer.
