Black Mamba Captured Inside Temple: Tongaat – KZN
A Black Mamba measuring approximately 1.5 metres was captured inside a temple on Greylands Road in Tongaat – KZN this afternoon (Friday, 22/05/2026).
Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) received a call for assistance at approximately 12:04 after a snake was spotted on the premises.
Reaction Officer Jordan Tarr was dispatched and on arrival conducted a search of the property. The reptile was located concealed beneath tiles inside the temple.
The snake was identified as a Black Mamba and was safely captured before being removed from the property without incident.
