Man hit-and-killed by car on Shamrock Road in Benoni.
A man was killed late last night after he was hit by a light motor vehicle on Shamrock Road in Benoni.
ER24 paramedics, along with another service, arrived on the scene and found the man lying in the middle of the road. The light motor vehicle that hit the patient was found parked a short distance away on the side of the road.
On assessment of the patient, paramedics found that the man had sustained numerous, fatal injuries. Unfortunately, nothing could be done for the man and he was declared dead on the scene.
The driver of the light motor vehicle was assessed and found to have escaped injury.
Local authorities will be investigating further.
