Four suspects arrested in the possession of a stolen vehicle in Ivory Park
The Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Police Department (EMPD) Northern Region Task Team Officers, arrested four (4) male suspects for possession of a reported stolen vehicle in the Ivory Park area.
Acting on information received from the Crime Intelligence Unit, about a white Toyota Land Cruiser reported stolen in the Free State Province. Officers launched a targeted operation and while patrolling the area, the vehicle was spotted on Republic Road, in Tswelopele Ext 8, with four male occupants, two in the front and two seated behind.
Officers swiftly intervened and apprehended all four suspects. A systematic check confirmed the vehicle was reported stolen under a Free State case.
The suspects, aged between thirty-five (35) and thirty-nine (39) were detained at Ivory Park Police Station, facing charges of possession of a stolen vehicle and illegal immigration.
