Two suspects were found in possession of dagga weighing approximately 1,025.36 kilograms, with an estimated street value of R6 million.

On Wednesday 06 May 2026, at approximately 08:00, members of the South African Police Service (SAPS) attached to Graskop SAPS in Mpumalanga, acted on a credible tip-off regarding a Toyota Quantum vehicle with Mpumalanga registration number travelling towards the Graskop area.

Following this information, a police patrol vehicle was deployed to monitor the identified route. The vehicle was subsequently spotted, placed under surveillance, and later stopped.

Upon searching the vehicle, two suspects were found in possession of dagga weighing approximately 1,025.36 kilograms, with an estimated street value of R6 million.

The suspects, aged 26 and 28, were immediately arrested and taken into custody. They are expected to appear in the Graskop Magistrate’s Court soon, facing charges of possession and dealing in dagga.
