Pedestrian placed on life support after collision

A pedestrian, believed to be in his forties, was left in a critical condition after he was knocked down by a vehicle on New Greytown Road near Copesville this morning.

Shortly before midday, paramedics from ER24 arrived on the scene where they found the pedestrian lying in the road. He sustained critical head injuries. Paramedics had to place him on life support before he could be rushed through to Greys Hospital for further medical care.

The driver of the vehicle was not injured in the collision.
