Two pedestrians injured in road crash in Phoenix, KZN

Two people were injured after they were run over by the driver of BMW on Rueford Avenue in Sunford – Phoenix a short while ago.

At approximately 19:47 members of Reaction Unit South Africa were called out to the scene by the public requesting assistance. Upon arrival two private ambulance services were in attendance and Paramedics were treating the injured. One of the pedestrians suffered severe injuries. The two were stabilised on scene before being transported to hospital.

It is alleged that the BMW was travelling uphill when then driver knocked into the pedestrians. The BMW then veered off the road and collided into a stationary vehicle before climbing an embankment and crashing through a wire perimeter fence.

The driver of the BMW was not injured in the accident.
