High-Density Safer Festive Season Operation Shanela 2 in Sebokeng policing precinct, Sedibeng District.
The Gauteng Provincial Commissioner Lieutenant General Tommy Mthombeni led yet another successful multidisciplinary High-Density #SaferFestiveSeason Operation Shanela 2 in Sebokeng policing precinct, Sedibeng District.
Several arrests were effected duribg the operation. One suspect arrested for possession of a hijacked motor vehicle, 22 individuals were arrested for drunk driving, one illegal immigrant was apprehended, two arrested for possession of drugs and one suspect arrested for possession of unlicensed firearm and 50 rounds of ammunition. Seven liquor outlets were closed for non-compliance with the regulations .
The provincial detectives arresting 599 wanted suspects with 173 for crimes against women and children overnight.
